This job entailed: Mounted/Grounded a new Battery Distribution Fuse Bay (BDFB), powered up this unit using primary (large gauge) power cabling ran from existing power plant to this new unit. Than ran secondary (small gauge) power cabling to power up a large Cisco chassis at another location in the same data center.
A BDFB or Battery Distribution Circuit Breaker Bay (BDCBB) serves as a secondary power distribution unit for power from a battery plant to the load equipment. It ensures a uninterrupted power supply for large telecom network central offices and wireless mobile telephone switching offices (MTSOs). Telecommunications equipment requires power redundancy from the battery plant, and the BDFB/BDCBB provides a variety of load busses and fuse options to meet redundancy requirements.
